Paul appeared in only 6 games during the 2016 season, but it was enough to lure him in. He was back for the entire 2017 campaign and hovered near the .500 mark all season, finishing 32-35 with 7.1 KPM, 41% accuracy and 2.3 points per round.

You wouldn’t recognize **THAT** Paul anymore – he’s now a more consistent player who scores nearly 60% of the time and has one of the nastiest throws in the game, a roll bag he calls the “roly poly”. He’s pulled off some of the most ridiculous shots because no pile of bags is too big to roll over.

Some of Paul’s career highlights include a runner-up finish in the 2020 Postseason Tournament, which helped earn him enough votes for inclusion on the All-Tournament Team. However, one of his best career moments was during 2017 All-Star Weekend when Paul won the LEG All-Star Foot Snag Challenge. The Foot Snag Championship was mired in controversy, but Paul still holds the crown and has his championship medal to show for it.

One of his lowlights was during the same All-Star Weekend. In the LEG All-Star H-O Challenge, Mario went airborne over a camping chair while also landing a bag on the board. Paul had to duplicate the shot or he earned the “O” in “HO” and was eliminated from the challenge. That’s when the entire group learned Paul is vertically challenged…check out his bio pic. He didn’t QUITE clear the chair. Maybe if he had those Chuck Norris non-binding jeans, he could’ve pulled it off.

For someone who is so nonchalant about cornhole, Paul has improved dramatically throughout his career, and produced a handful of deep tournament runs.
