In Matt’s LEG debut, he swooped into the league and snatched the 2019 Preseason Kick-Off championship, like a predator taking down the drunk gazelle straying from her pack at 1:50 am in the bar.
The early success turned this ultimate competitor into a player with complacency. He thought future wins would come easy, but that hasn’t been the case. Matt deserves credit for his championship run, but a repeat performance is going to require more game reps, which means Thursday night appearances to hone his skills rather than only showing up for tournaments.
